6 egg yolks
1 can condense milk
1 can evaporated milk
1 tsp. vanilla essence

Beat egg yolks with a fork and add condense milk.
Add evaporated milk and vanilla essence and continue beating for about a minute or so.
Set aside.

Bring the steamer to boil and turn heat into low as you are making the caramel ready. .

To caramelize:
1 cup of white sugar and ½ cup water in a small pot and bring to boil over medium heat until sugar starts to caramelize and turn into light golden yellow and straight away pour caramel into the baking tin or mould making sure that only the bottom of the baking pan is well coated with the caramel. (Have a good system as the caramel sets very quickly and for sure your leche flan will look really guapa as my mother used to say it to me as she was a perfectionist in one way or another). Pour the mixture in the baking tin and cover with tin foil properly.
Steam for about 40-50 over low heat.
Let stand for 30 minutes before turning it out on to a dish.
