2 ½ c. self raising Flour
¼ t. salt
1 ¼ c. water
7 whole sour apples (granny smith), peeled, cored and sliced into ½ “thick
Vegetable oil for deep frying
Combine the flour, water and salt and beat until smooth.
Coat apple slices a few at a time with the batter and deep fry in the hot oil until light brown.
Drain on paper towels and sprinkle with icing sugar.
Can be serve hot or cold.
